That Weird Bug on the Windowsill… and What It Taught Me About Launches

We had this weird green fly-thing sitting on the windowsill of our living room for hours.

I had never seen anything like it.
My son was convinced it was some kind of monster.

At one point, he walked over and said, “Mom, that’s creepy. You touch it.”

And as someone who is very much not a bug person, I said, “No, you touch it.”

We went back and forth.

“You do it.”
“No, you do it.”
“You touch it.”
“No way, you touch it.”

Eventually, we just stared at each other, both completely unwilling to go near the thing. It sat there all afternoon while we waited for my husband to get home from work — hoping he would be the brave one.

What Does This Have to Do with Launches?

More than you’d think.

Because launching a digital product or offer often feels exactly like that bug on the windowsill.
It’s just sitting there — taunting you.

You know it needs to be dealt with.
You know you should just do it.
But the whole thing feels unfamiliar, kind of overwhelming, and honestly a little gross when you start looking under the surface.

There are so many moving parts:

  • Offer creation

  • Emails and sequences

  • Opt-in or checkout pages

  • Thank-you pages

  • Automation

  • Delivery

  • Reminders

  • Follow-up

  • Testing

Even if you have a team or some support, it often turns into this awkward game of “You do it… no, you do it.”
No one wants to touch the tech.
Or worse — someone starts poking around and it all breaks.

You end up in a cycle of double-checking, second-guessing, editing, resending, testing again, and hoping it somehow works when you finally go live.

It Doesn’t Have to Be Like That

I don’t like bugs.
But I do like launches.

And I love making the backend work — without the confusion, without the hesitation, and definitely without that “heeby jeeby” dread that comes from wondering if your emails are going to send or your checkout page is going to glitch.

When you hand something off to me, you don’t have to worry whether it’ll get done or if it’s set up right.

I take it.
I own it.
I make it work — cleanly, efficiently, and in a way that reflects the experience you want your audience to have.

You don’t have to triple-check everything.
You don’t need to know the exact steps for Flodesk or Kajabi or ThriveCart or Zapier or wherever else your offer is living.

I’ll handle the tech.
You handle everything else.

So If You’re Stuck in the “You Do It” Cycle...

You’ve got a vision. Maybe even a finished product, course, or service.
But the delivery and launch setup still feels like that bug on the windowsill — just sitting there while everyone stares at it.

Whether you're launching for the first time or making something evergreen...
Whether you’ve mapped out the whole thing or you’re still trying to piece it together...

I can help.

With a VIP Day or Done-for-You Launch Build, I come in, assess the pieces, ask the right questions, and get it set up — properly, strategically, and with a high attention to detail.

No more guessing.
No more stressing.
No more bugs.

Just a setup that works exactly like it’s supposed to — so you can go live with confidence and actually enjoy the process.
